She was very fond of her newborn niece, Alison Claire Pasquale, and her nephew, Evan Auston Pasquale, her family said. In addition to her husband, Mrs. Asis is survived by her mother of Wilton, a sister, Diane Pasquale Portman of Boston; and three brothers, Paul Pasquale of Wilton, Peter Pasquale of New Windsor, and Mark Pasquale of Wallkill, N.Y. Obituaries Frances Raymo Johnson, 73: retired businesswoman Frances Raymo Johnson, a longtime White Plains resident and co-owner of Johnson's Stationery Store in Elmsford, died Monday, May 4, 1998, at home. She was 73. Mrs. Johnson was born May 19, 1924. in New York City to James and Edna Numerich Raymo.

She was raised in White Plains and attended Battle Hill School before attending White Plains High School. During World War II, she was a civilian defense worker building fighter planes for the Navy in converted General Motors Corp. auto plants in Linden, N.J., North Tarrytown, now known as Sleepy Hollow. With her husband, Joseph A. Johnson, she owned and operated Johnson's Stationery Store in Elmsford for many years until retiring.

She was also active in Elmsford Girl Scouts. Survivors include a son, Joseph of Millwood; two daughters, Jacqueline Zimkin of Westport, and Diane Sergenian of Briarcliff Manor; two sisters, Edna "Cissy" DeLago of Armonk and Gloria Miller of Florida; and three grandchildren. Gamiello, 75: former school cafeteria worker Marietta G. Gamiello, a Mount Vernon native and former cafeteria worker at the Lakeland public schools, died Saturday, May 2, 1998, at home in Port St. Lucie, Fla. She was 75 and had lived in Florida for nine years. Mrs.

Gamiello worked in the Lakeland schools for about five years more than 20 years ago. She was born April 20, 1923, in Mount Vernon to Ferdinand and Maria Esposito Valentino. She attended schools in Mount Vernon. Harry Lott, 77: retired attorney Harry Lott, a retired lawyer who served in local and state positions, died Friday, May 1, 1998, at his home in New Rochelle. He was 77.

Mr. Lott was a former Westchester County attorney; a supervisor from New Rochelle's First Ward on the county Board of Supervisors, the precursor to the Board of Legislators; and a former chief negotiator for the New York Thruway Authority. Mr. Lott, a lifelong New Rochelle resident, was born May 30, 1920, to Sam and Bessie Lott. He attended St.

John's University as an undergraduate and St. John's School of Law. He was a member of the Westchester County Bar Association for 50 years and of the New York and American Bar associations. Mr. Lott also was a 50-year member of the Siwanoy Masonic Lodge.

He was a lifelong member of Congregation Anshe Shalom in New Rochelle. He and his wife, Thalia, were married in New Rochelle in 1961. Besides his wife, who is called Terry, Mr. Lott is survived by two daughters, Sarah Bernstein of Briarcliff Manor and Betty Moallem of New Rochelle; a son, Sam of New Rochelle; and seven grandchildren. A graveside funeral service was held Sunday.

The George T. Davis Funeral Home of New Rochelle handled the arrangements. Maria M. Zopes, 87: retired hostess Maria M. Zopes, a retired hostess at Briar Hall Country Briarcliff Manor, died Sunday, May 3, 1998, at Rosary Hill Nursing Home in Hawthorne.

She was 87. Mrs. Zopes worked at Briar Hall for more than 15 years. She retired about 20 years ago. She moved to Springvale Apartments in Crugers in 1986.

She was an active volunteer at Springvale, running the library there for several years. A parishioner of St. Christopher's Church in Montrose, Mrs. Zopes was a former member of the Ladies of Charity at her Pelham church, Our Lady of Perpetual Health. She was born May 9, 1910, in Thale Harz, Germany, Paul and Maria Richter.

She emigrated in 1933 lived many years in Pelham and Mount Vernon. She married Larry Zopes on Aug. 6, 1933, in Haldensleben, Germany. Her husband died in 1970. Mrs.

Zopes is survived by two sons, Lorenz P. of Croton-onHudson and Vernon F.C. Zopes of Salt Lake City; five grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren. Visiting hours are today at Edward F. Carter Funeral Home in Montrose.

Gannett Newspapers Harry J. Tompkins, 93: former door-to-door merchant Harry J. Tompkins, a lifelong keep the field in shape, his famiPeekskill resident who was born ly said. in his family's house at 227 Walnut died in that house on Monday, May 4, 1998. He was 93.

Tompkins delivered fresh seafood and produce to homes across northern Westchester, taking over a business that his father had begun with a horsedrawn wagon. He rode on the wagon as a boy and, after their father's death, he and his brother took over the business. They used trucks by then, but continued to go door-to-door in Peekskill, Cortlandt, Yorktown, Croton-on-Hudson, Somers and Katonah as Harry J. Tompkins Seafood and Produce. He retired in 1961.

He was born May 24, 1904, to Charles I. and Cora Purdy Tompkins. He graduated from Peekskill High School and attended the former Peekskill Business Institute. Mr. Tompkins' home, at the corner of Walnut Street and Hudson Avenue, is adjacent to Torpy Field, an athletic field and track used by Peekskill High School and, previously, by the Peekskill Military Academy.

Mr. Tompkins voluntarily helped to maintain the field and was recognized for those efforts with a plaque awarded him by the school district in the 1980s. He was a private person, according to his family, and didn't attend the ceremony at which the plaque was awarded. He simply felt it was his duty to help Mr. Tompkins was an avid gardener, growing calla lilies, other flowers and vegetables.

He also did home repair work. He was a former Odd Fellow in Peekskill, and was a member of both the Annsville Baptist Church and the First Baptist Church of Peekskill. He and Pearl C. Robinson were married in Lake Mahopac on Nov. 25, 1925.

His wife died April 13, 1989. Mr. Tompkins was very close to his daughter-in-law, Janet C. Tompkins of Cortlandt. He is survived by three daughters, Alice Fowler of Yorktown, Helen T.

Smith of Katonah and Carolyn T. O'Leary of Bedford Hills; a sister, Virginia Smith of Cullowhee, N.C.; nine grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandson. His son, Harry J. died Jan. 9, 1991.

His brother, Charles I. and a sister, Edith Duncombe, also died earlier. Visiting hours are today at the E.0. Curry Funeral Home in Peekskill. There will be a funeral service there at 11 a.m.

Wednesday. Family and friends are making donations in his memory to the Annsville Baptist Church, 745 Albany Post Road, Cortlandt Manor, N.Y. 10566. On Oct. 20, 1946, she married Frank Gamiello in Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church in Mount Vernon.

They lived in Mount Vernon, then Massapequa on Long Island, and New Rochelle before moving to Yorktown. They then lived in New Rochelle again for about 14 years before moving to Florida. There they became members of the St. Lucie Catholic Church. Mrs.

Gamiello is survived by her husband; a son, Dennis of Scarsdale; two sisters, Anna Pugliese of New Rochelle and Jean Valentino of Mount Vernon; and three grandchildren. The wake will be tomorrow at the Burr Davis-Sharpe Funeral Home in Mount Vernon. The funeral service will be at 9:30 a.m. Thursday at Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Burial will follow in Gate of Heaven Cemetery in Mount Pleasant.

Helen Smith, 68: Yonkers homemaker Helen Smith of Yonkers died Monday, May 4, 1998, at Lawrence Hospital in Bronxville. She was 68. Mrs. Smith was born Nov. 7, 1929, to Edward and Rose Callahan 1 McKay in the Bronx, where she grew up and was educated.

She was a homemaker and lived in Yonkers for the last 30 years. She married Kenneth Smith on June 27, 1975. Mrs. Smith was especially devoted to her grandchildren, family members said.
