Let’s get into your favoriteWNBA Predictions for tonight’s matchup between Dallas and Las Vegas.

Wings Grab Fifth Win

The Dallas Wings are coming off their fifth win of the season, which puts them tied for wins with the other bottom teams in the league. In the baseman of the league standings you will find the Wings, Sparks and Mystics, who all have five wins, and the Sparks has one fewer loss. Dallas is three and a half games out of playoff contention, trailing the Fever for the last spot. In their last game, Dallas was led by Arike Ogunbowale with 19 points in the win over the Dream.

Ogunbowale is the leading scorer on the team with 23.6 PPG, which is good for second in the entire league behind only A'ja Wilson. Ogunbowale is a 5'8 guard adding 4.9 RPG and 4.9 APG, while also leading the team with 2.8 steals per game. She is the top shooting threat on the team, with 3.2 made threes per game. Natasha Howard is their second leading scorer, she is a 6'2 forward getting 16.9 PPG and 6.9 RPG. Howard recently had a 36 point, 11 rebound game against the Mercury. Odyssey Sims just recently rejoined the team, she has played in five games and is averaging 12.8 PPG as a 5'8 guard. Maddy Siegrist is a big scorer for Dallas, but she is still out with a broken finger.

Dallas ranks 6th in the league out of 12 teams in scoring with 80.8 PPG, but their defense ranks in dead last by allowing 88.5 PPG. They are 10th in the league in made threes per game at 5.7, and connect on just 30.9% of their attempts.

Aces Lose After Six Straight Wins

The Las Vegas Aces were one of the hottest teams in the WNBA, as they won six straight games including impressive wins over the Storm, Sun, and Caitlin Clark's Indiana Fever. Las Vegas finally lost in their last outing, going down to the Sparks on the road. They are now 5th in the overall league standings, just a half game behind the Seattle Storm in fourth. In their last game against Los Angeles, they lost despite getting 35 points and 12 rebounds from A'ja Wilson.

Wilson leads the WNBA in scoring at 26.9 PPG, and is second in rebounding at 10.9 per game. She is strong from the free throw line, and went 9-9 against the Sparks. She is a 6'4 center and has scored 28 or more in three of her last five games. Kelsey Plum has been shooting the ball well recently, she has made 16 combined threes over her last three games, and shot over 50% from deep in each outing. Plum is a 5'8 guard averaging 18.9 PPG and 4.8 APG. Jackie Young is their third scorer, she is a 6'0 guard getting 18.7 PPG and leading the team with 5.8 APG. Behind Young, no other scorer averages more than 9.0 PPG.

The Aces are the top scoring team in the WNBA at 88.6 PPG, and their defense ranks 8th by allowing 83.6 PPG. Las Vegas plays at a fast place, and looks to get the ball to their scorers early in the possession. They make 9.5 threes per game, which is the fourth most in the league and knock down 35.1% of their attempts.

Best Bets for Dallas Wings vs. Las Vegas Aces

This is a massive line, but it is set this high for a reason, as the Aces will destroy the Wings in this game. Las Vegas lost their last game, but that game was also on the tail end of a back-to-back, with travel in between. The Aces played a July 4th game at home against the Mystics, then had to fly out same night to Los Angeles to take on the Sparks the next day. They have more rest here, and will get back into their typical rhythm, which helped them win the previous six games before the LA matchup. Dallas has no answer for Wilson inside, all of their top scorers are 6'2 and under, and Wilson will dominate the paint just as she did in her last game where she dropped 35 on the Sparks. Wilson had 36 and 12 last time she played Dallas, and will have another big night in a blowout.

Take the Aces to cover.

Prediction: Aces -15

The best-scoring offense in the league is taking on the worst-scoring defense. Las Vegas will put up numbers here. The Aces scored 95 last time they took on the Wings, Las Vegas plays fast and scores at a high level as Wilson, Plum and Wilson are all averaging over 18 points per game. Las Vegas is not elite defensively, they just look to outscore their opponents, the Aces are just 8th in the WNBA in defensive scoring. Dallas ranks 12th in that category, and in each of their three previous losses, they gave up at least 95 points, including allowing 104 points against the Mercury. The Aces will push the tempo and send this game over the total.

Take the over.
