#APAAR & #ABC: Better days for Students in IndiaIndia 🇮🇳 on the move again🏃♂️🏃🏃♀️APAAR (Automated Permanent Academic Account Registry) is a proposed GOI initiative for nation wide digital ID similar to Adhaar wherein all the educational record of a student will be stored digitally. ABC (Academic Bank of Credit) is a GOI initiative for seamless movement of students across educational institutions through digital accumulation & transfer of credits awarded by institutes. Already there are more than 21M ABC Ids created.This is going to have major implication for Industry:🛑 Document validation for new hire will become seamless which means issues related to incomplete documentation, fake degrees, delay in submission, validation related issues will come down substantially.🛑 Education loan will become easier and will get further boost as past document validation won’t be required.🛑 APAAR can also be linked with national benefit schemes to provide skill based employment support along with Adhaar.🛑 Data insights from this pool would lead to creation of segmented approach for financial inclusion including dropout analysis, Gender bias, skill based cohorts, regional engagement strategies among others.Benefit to students:🚀 Lifetime DOB validation without the pain of multiple documents. Will lead to faster financial inclusion in future.🚀 Lost certificates will become a thing of past and seamless movement and integration across states and boards.🚀 This may allow for dropped out students to complete their studies from a different institution in future.Few concerns still persist:⛔️ Data privacy issues.⛔️ Document load on schools.#DigitalIndia #Education #NationalID #India

Hey everyone, I just wanted to share my recent experience with you all. My name is Dibyans, and on 2nd November, I had the opportunity to secure admission into Veer Surendra Sai University of Technology in Burla. Unfortunately, this exciting milestone was overshadowed by a series of frustrating events.Upon accessing the university's website to complete the admission process, I was taken aback to find that the consent form mentioned Sikkim University instead. Confused but determined, I proceeded with the necessary transactions, as instructed by the poorly created website.To my dismay, I had to make two separate transactions: one amounting to 17,000 rupees and another, larger one of 34,000 rupees. However, to this day, the first amount has not been credited to any recipient, as confirmed by bank officials. It's disheartening to learn that my hard-earned money seems to have vanished into thin air.Since that day, I have tirelessly pursued the matter by submitting applications, engaging in countless hours of phone calls, and seeking resolution with the university authorities. Yet, despite my efforts, there is still no visible progress on the matter.It deeply saddens me to realize that Veer Surendra Sai University, a renowned institution, could have such internal issues. As an aspiring student, I expected a certain level of professionalism and integrity from the university. However, this experience has left me questioning their commitment to their students' welfare and the credibility of their processes.I share this not only to express my disappointment but also to bring awareness to the challenges students may face during their educational journey. It is crucial that we hold our educational institutions accountable for their actions and provide support to those who encounter such issues.I hope that my issue can be resolved soon, and that no other student will have to face similar circ*mstances. Education is a fundamental right, and it should be accompanied by a sense of trust and reliability.
